Hey There!
If you’re anything like me, you ADORE all things magical, which means you love Disneyland. The only problem is that the prices of Disneyland are anything BUT magical. Especially when paying for an entire family. Suddenly all that magic just feels like a giant ball of STRESS, which defeats the purpose of the trip to begin with.
But what if I told you there was a way to get your next trip to Disneyland for FREE and you don’t even have to win a radio contest to do it?
HOW? With credit card points and miles. Let me break it down for you.
Step 1:
Open a capital one credit card that offers flexible miles. I like the business spark or business venture x cards.
You can also opt for any of their flexible mile personal cards like the venture one or venture x.
Step 2:
Hit the sign up bonus (SUB) on the credit card you’ve just opened within the allotted amount of time (it’s usually 3 months).
Step 3:
Once the reward miles hit your account, go to a TRUSTED third party website to book your Disneyland tickets. I like Undercover Tourist.
This step is important. If you were to book your tickets directly through Disney, they wouldn’t bill as a travel expense and you wouldn’t be able to use your capital one miles to pay for them. But with Undercover Tourist, the expense will get billed as travel and you’ll be able to use your capital one purchase eraser to cover it. Pretty cool right?
You can also book Disney’s hotel rooms through the same site, so if you want to stay in Downtown Disney and pay with points and miles… this is how it’s done.
Step 4:
Once you’ve purchased your tickets, login to your Capital One portal and use your purchase eraser to cover those expenses.
Voila! Suddenly that $2,000 trip to Disneyland is FREE or almost FREE because you were smart about how you booked it. Now, instead of saving up for months in advance for that ONE trip to Disneyland… you’ll be booking REPEAT trips and spending VERY little $$ to do it!
Wahoo! The MAGIC is back!
Now you can experience Disneyland through your kids’ eyes at every age. It doesn’t get better than that.
Happy Travels,
